We had his 15 month appointment last week and everything looks great! We can officially be off formula now! Yay! That's a lot of money we will be saving each month. I felt so bad because he was so happy and innocently playing and little did he know the nurse was about to walk in and give him shots. He did good though, cried for a couple of minutes and it was over. He had a worse crying fit when I had to take his sucker away in the car before we drove home. You would have thought the world was ending! Geesh! He is weighing in at 19lbs 1oz and is 29 inches long. Were getting there!
Greyson got to go bowling for the first time. He had so much fun clapping for everyone after they bowled. He helped me bowl a couple of times and thought he was pretty cool stuff afterward! He got brave and decided to walk around the bowling alley. He found one step and spent most of the evening climbing up and down that step. Hey, at least he was entertained! He got a little ornery because he was hungry (takes after his mom there! My Aunt Wendy would agree with that statement!) so he sat with dad and just lounged and ate puffs. It was a good first bowling experience!
4th of July in this house was a fun one! It started out early with Aunt Brandi coming over around 8AM. The boys all went golfing while us girls went to the Morgan parade. Brandi thought it would be a good idea to have Greyson practice chasing candy and picking it up. She was throwing tootsie rolls in the living room and Greyson was more than willing to go get them. Needless to say, during the parade, he knew exactly what to do with all the candy that landed in front of him! He was getting frustrated that he couldn't hold it all!
We got a nice shady spot on the parade route and watched the parade. Greyson loved the drums from the band, the horses and the fire trucks (although, the siren scared him a little). Give this boy a stick and some dirt and he will be content for the whole day. He is such a boy. He found a stick and had to destroy every weed he came across in the little area we were sitting in. Such a destructive little thing!!

After the parade, we waited for the boys to get done golfing and then had lunch at the Chicken Inn. It was yummy! Next stop was the splash pad for Greyson. He finally figured out he can do it without mom and dad right there. He ran around with Aunt Brandi not to far behind. He had a good 20 minutes of fun and it was time to get out of the heat. We stopped for shakes afterward and came back to our house to just lounge. Greyson enjoyed a bite of every body's shakes and we watched Back to the Future which was Cody's first time seeing it. (I know, right?! I can't believe he had never seen it!) After everyone left, we had a quiet night in. Greyson is such a routine child, he couldn't keep his eyes open past 8PM. He slept ever so soundly as it felt like our house was going to explode from all the surrounding fireworks! Cody and I sat in our backyard and watched the Morgan fireworks from our camping chairs. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day!

Its amazing how smart little kids are. I can't believe how much they pick up without you even realizing it. I'm on my phone all the time for work and now Greyson walks around with the remote or really anything to his ear jibber jabbering and then he laughs like something was funny. It cracks me up. He also picked up my stethoscope and tried to put it in his ears, he managed around his neck, and picked up the other end and put it to his chest. Such a smart little guy!
We can't end the blog without some random pictures added in!
